Elastomer Jaw Couplings GWE
Elastomer Jaw Couplings of the RINGFEDER® GWE series, originally GERWAH® GWE, enable backlash-free, highly accurate torque transmission in dynamic precision drives. The preloaded elastomer spider provides a fail-safe connection between the two coupling hubs, compensates for axial, radial and angular shaft misalignments, and dampens shocks and vibrations within the drivetrain. Different shore hardnesses allow the damping characteristics and torsional stiffness to be precisely matched to the respective application. The axially pluggable and electrically insulating couplings are particularly suitable for measuring, positioning and feed drives, machine tool spindles, packaging machinery, robotics, linear and material handling technology, and test rigs. The versatile portfolio includes miniature and high-speed versions, different clamping hubs, expanding mandrels for hollow shafts, and intermediate shafts for larger shaft distances. Nominal torques of up to 2,000 Nm and various mounting concepts enable precise adaptation to installation space, dynamics and maintenance requirements. Stainless steel versions and application-specific custom solutions are also available.
