Safety Couplings TNT

Our Safety Couplings of the RINGFEDER^® TNT series – formerly TSCHAN^® TNT – have been specifically designed for reliable overload protection in demanding heavy-duty applications. If the transmitted torque exceeds a predefined limit, the drive and driven sides are disengaged within fractions of a second, effectively protecting machines, gear units and other drive components against damage. The couplings operate according to the proven ball-detent principle and provide precise adjustment of the disengagement torque as well as excellent repeatability during operation. At the core of the series are standardized switching units that allow flexible adaptation to different torque ranges, coupling sizes and installation requirements. Thanks to simple handling, rapid re-engagement after an overload event and the option to monitor the switching status, the couplings help minimize downtime and sustainably increase system availability. Typical applications include excavators, crushers, shredders, tunnel boring machines, industrial conveyor systems, rolling mills, steel plants, turbines and other heavy-duty industrial equipment.
