Tyre Couplings RLT & RLU
The flexible RINGFEDER® Tyre Couplings of the RLT and RLU series offer a reliable, maintenance-friendly and vibration-damping connection between two shafts - ideal for a wide range of industrial applications. Thanks to their torsionally soft properties, they effectively protect against shock loads, vibrations and sudden load changes. At the same time, they make it possible to compensate for angular, parallel and axial misalignments, which makes the coupling extremely reliable even in the event of assembly inaccuracies.
The flexible Tyre - available in a split or closed design - can be easily mounted or replaced if necessary without having to move adjacent machine parts such as the motor or gearbox. For applications with larger shaft distances or increased maintenance requirements, an optional version with spacer is available. The couplings are corrosion-resistant, durable and suitable for ambient temperatures of up to 70 °C. Typical applications range from pumps, fans, compressors and conveyor systems to applications in the cement, steel, food and energy industries.
